Temporary Closure of a Section of the Coastal Loop Boardwalk at Chek Jawa Wetlands

A section of the Coastal Loop boardwalk at Chek Jawa Wetlands (indicated in red [PDF, 154.71 KB] (opens in new tab)) is closed for maintenance works from 15 September 2026. Visitors can continue to explore the Mangrove Loop and the open section of the Coastal Loop.

Suspension of Chek Jawa Wetlands Tour

The Chek Jawa Wetlands Tour is suspended until further notice due to maintenance works for the floating pontoon. Chek Jawa Wetlands, including the Coastal and Mangrove Boardwalks, Jejawi Tower and Visitor Centre remain open from 7am to 7pm daily.

Safety During Bad Weather

Government officials will NEVER do these things over a phone call:

  1. Ask you to transfer money;

  2. Ask you to disclose bank log-in details;

  3. Ask you to install mobile apps from unofficial app stores;

  4. Transfer your call to Police.
