A verified crocodile sighting was reported at Sungei Puaka on 28 March 2026.

Please exercise caution when conducting water activities and when at the water's edge.

Please alert NParks' Animal Response Centre at 1800-476-1600 should you sight any crocodile. Do not approach, provoke, or attempt to feed the animal under any circumstances.

The Chek Jawa Wetlands Tour is suspended until further notice due to maintenance works for the floating pontoon. Chek Jawa Wetlands, including the Coastal and Mangrove Boardwalks, Jejawi Tower and Visitor Centre remain open from 7am to 7pm daily.

Seek cover at the nearest shelter available and avoid entering forested areas, including nature reserves and natures parks during and immediately after bad weather. Visit NEA or dial 65427788 for weather forecast.

Some areas may be flooded due to higher tides and bad weather. For safety, please do not enter when the area is flooded.

Designation of Chek Jawa Wetlands

Government officials will NEVER do these things over a phone call:

1. Ask you to transfer money;

2. Ask you to disclose bank log-in details;

3. Ask you to install mobile apps from unofficial app stores;

4. Transfer your call to Police.

If you receive an SMS from the government, make sure it is sent from the gov.sgSMS Sender ID*.

Scammers may cite your personal information (e.g. name or NRIC number) to appear legitimate. Do not automatically trust someone just because he/she has your personal information.

A section of the Mangrove Loop boardwalk at Chek Jawa Wetlands (indicated in red) is closed for maintenance. There is no access here.

Visitors can access Jejawi Tower and the open section of the Mangrove Loop (indicated in yellow) during this period.
